My Karate journey started at the age of 37 to stay fit without a Gym which soon became a passion.
My friends who started along gave up for various reasons that felt awkward being the only female student. My husband and daughters joined to support me in my journey. We became the “Karate Family” 😊

There have been tremendous changes both mentally and physically. I am now more composed and challenging situations do not disturb me. I feel ready to face them with a positive mindset.

My mother encouraged me to join the self-defence class. Soon it turned into a fun karate class. The belt system made me passionate to achieve.
I have learned to be calm, stay positive and take feedback constructively. Thanks to my sensei, family and peers for being there for me.

When I started, I lacked confidence in everything I did. Karate has taught me how to give my 100% in everything and try one more time. Giving up is always easy, but it doesn't make you feel the best out of yourself.

Karate taught me about blood, sweat and respect. Blood – The first drop of blood from your body starts the training. Sweat is my jewellery. Respect- I learned not to bully anyone and respect everyone.
